Problem Running Outlook 2003 on Windows Vista

Problem running Microsoft Outlook 2003 on Windows Vista. It prompted error: Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software. Please reinstall Outlook.

Run C:\WINDOWS\System32\fixmapi.exe and it does not fix the problem.

Resolution: Try renaming the MSMAPI32.DLL to MSMAPI32.XXX. Then try starting Outlook. Windows Installer will repair missing files. You may need the Office CD if the local installer cache is not available. The file is located at \Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033 for english systems.
