One day, Anne asked me a question. Why can't she post comments on my blog?
A very good one, indeed. I have disabled comments on all post due to a critical bug. It has been disabled for quite awhile. When it hit mt-comments.cgi script, httpd will takes up all the server load, causes the server hung and eventually crashed. I have been working hard to get it done but there is no luck. I started MT on v4 and did not find any similar bug on this version. Most of the bugs on this script referred to v3.2
It leave me no choice but to backup existing MT directory and use a fresh copy of all MT files. I am a bit reluctant to do so as I was hoping to find a solution online because there will definitely have file missing after the work and quite some works to do on the template. Since it has been couple of weeks, I just have to do it now. It took me awhile to patch up those missing files and templates, and any modification I did to the tmpl file.
Now, posting comments works well. I have re-enabled the authentication method as well as adding Facebook Connect to become one of the option to login to post comment. However, this time, I found out that Facebook Connection image does not display on IE wherelse it will display while using on FireFox or Safari. Of course, it can be authenticated successfully while not using IE.
While I googling again for this issue, I see most of the people referred to chromless template file but it doesn't seems to work for me which I have already added the facebook namespace on the html tag. Anyone has any thought on how to resolve this problem?
